Real Madrid made a superb start, with Cristiano Ronaldo's right footed shot at post in 4th minute of game. First 10 minutes were fully dominated by hosts, and some brilliant chances were created during this period.

After Barcelona's horrible show against Malaga on Saturday, it was the best chance for Real to top the table, and make a 4 point gap.

Ronaldo scored his 29th La Liga goal where as Benzema struck his 13th goal.
